Air Temperature Sensor

ITA ( Intake Air Temperaature)
Connect an ohmmeter to the terminals of the sensor. Suspend the sensor in a container of water to heat the sensor . Heat the water and check the tempearaatuer .
In the chart bellow record resistance change.

Here are some pictures of diffrent reading.
2.2 K ohms @ cold water about 22 deg C.

1.97 K ohms @ 27 deg C

1.75 K ohms @ 30 deg C

ITA sensor detect the temperature of incoming air steam. On vehicle equipped with a maf sensor. The IAT sensor is located on intake air passing. The IAT is connected to THAterminal on the ECM. The IAT is used for detecting ambient temperatureon.
A cold start and intake air temperature as the engine heats up the incoming air.
